⥤ Overview

A restaurant, bar and private dining room concept for an award-winning celebrity chef in a two-storey (ground and lower-ground) space on the edge of the City of London. align created a rich colourway concept, inspired by spices, expressed through luxury fabrics and surfaces and incorporating a strong outside-in influence in the form of wrought ironwork, exposed brickwork, glazed tiles and integrated planting.

⥤ Brief

To create a concept that chimed both with the Indian chef’s celebrity standing and high-end food offer, as well as with the existing building fabric, whilst working with and developing further a pre-existing brand concept that extended to the interiors concept, created by a specialist F&B agency.

⥤ Challenges

The design needed to ensure great sight lines straight from arrival and clear zonal separation for the entrance lobby and concierge area, the servery bar, restaurant seating and rear WCs, with the eye taken also to the rear of the space, where a statement feature staircase leads down to the private dining area.
